This site was constructed by Frank Geltner and the Oregon Coast Council for the Arts, with assistance from individuals and organisations, including the members of the Bloch family. It is devoted to the preservation of many aspects of the legacy of the composer, humanist and philosopher.

Bloch left his papers to his daughter Suzanne who finally left the collection to the University of Rochester. It includes his pedagogical materials.

The Robert Strassburg Collection of Ernest Bloch

A fascinating and fact-filled compilation of manuscript material gathered by the noted educator, composer, conductor and musicologist, Dr. Robert Strassburg (1915-2003), focusing on the career and life of one of the most renowned composers of the 20th Century. Robert Strasburg wrote a comprehensive book on Bloch.  David Kushner (Bloch Professor of Musicology Emeritus in the University of Florida School of Music, scholar author of The Groves Dictionary section on
Bloch, was the beneficiary of Strasburg's files.)

Claude Torres of Montpellier France does a huge amount of work researching, documenting and recording music by Jewish composers affected by the Holocaust.  He also has a large section on Bloch. He made a big contribution to the discography of Dr. Joseph Lewinski's "Ernest Bloch: sa vie et sa pensee" Volume IV.
